I was born in a pine forest near the swamps of South Mississippi, but I’ve spent the past decade in Rhode Island, New York, Tennessee, Washington D.C., and Louisiana. I received my BA in literary arts and English literature from Brown University and my MFA in creative nonfiction writing from Columbia University. I’m currently an educator, writer, and freelance editor living in New Orleans. In my free time, you’ll find me fostering elderly dogs, doing aerial circus tricks, tango dancing, reading, and obsessively planning my next travels.
